Attracted by the company’s journey and vision, I joined Northwood as Telford Site Manager in 2016. The site was new at that time so, with the rest of the team, I rolled up my sleeves and we were soon up and running. The positive culture here really gets things done!
Northwood combines a great bunch of people, excellent products and a forward thinking leadership team. Add to that Northwood’s strong growth and serious investment in machinery and we are in a strong position for the future.
Since joining I’ve had lots of training on our new Gambini lines and I’m delighted to be involved in training new people myself.
Everyone at Northwood is striving to be the best and develop our reputation as a leading British manufacturer, so it’s an exciting time to join us.
Hi I’m Darren and I operate our Gambini machines at Northwood. I’ve worked at Northwood for more than 20 years and over the years I’ve had lots of opportunities to learn and progress. Like when the new Gambini machines were first installed and I was lucky enough to go to Pisa in Italy where they’re made for in-depth technical training.
I’ve also been trained as a team leader and stand in supervisor and I’m heavily involved in the training of new recruits. Developing individuals is absolutely vital to ensuring that as a team we’re up to the challenges that working in this large, growing and fascinating business brings
Hi I’m Helen and I’ve worked at Northwood for ooh 21 years now! I’m an internal sales executive and what I love most about my job is that I’m always busy and I get to talk to lots of different people. We genuinely work as a team here and we care about each other and our customers.
Over the years I’ve learnt lots of skills outside my role and have taken the opportunity to train in first aid, internal audit, customer services and product training.
As Works Council Representative, I represent my fellow employees in open and honest dialogue with the business’s senior management team. It’s refreshing to work for an employer that takes as much interest in its staff wellbeing as Northwood does. And I get to talk a bit more too!
