Job Description
An insight into the role:
• Provide second-line technical support to employees across all UK sites, and third-line technical support with cloud and infrastructure.
• Assist with troubleshooting hardware issues on Windows 11 laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
• Support users with Office 365 applications including Teams, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Assist in maintaining on-site & cloud services (Azure AD, Exchange, SharePoint etc).
• Help with onboarding/offboarding processes including account creation, device configuration, and permissions.
• Support device management, security policies, updates, and application deployment.
• Contribute to IT asset management: equipment tracking, hardware lifecycle, licensing updates.
• Support the rollout of IT improvements and technology upgrades across sites.
• Perform basic printer, hand-held device and peripheral troubleshooting.
• Participate in digital transformation or cloud migration initiatives.
• Assist with documentation, testing, and deployment activities for IT improvement projects.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the IT team to deliver multi-site projects.
Job Requirements
We’re looking for knowledge and understanding in the following areas:
• Windows 11 configuration, troubleshooting, and user profile management.
• Cloud environments, e.g. Azure Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Cybersecurity principles such as MFA, phishing prevention, access control, and data protection.
• Advanced networking concepts (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, DHCP, DNS, VPN).
Additional attributes we’re looking for:
• Strong customer service focus; strong communicate skills (colleagues at all levels).
• Problem-solving capability with a logical, methodical approach.
• Initiative to take ownership and accountability for projectstasks.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving technologies.
• Interest in cloud computing, automation, or scripting (PowerShell).
• Experience using ticketing or helpdesk systems.
• Demonstrate a proactive and positive attitude toward learning and development.
• Follow IT processes, documentation standards, and security protocols.
• Engage in continuous improvement by suggesting enhancements to IT services.
• Be willing to travel occasionally to other UK sites with members of the IT team.
• Represent IT in a friendly, solution-oriented manner across the business.
